Medical Marijuana for Cancer
Cancer is the general name that is given to a collection of related diseases. These diseases are characterized by the development of abnormal cells that divide uncontrollably. These abnormal cells have the ability to infiltrate, spread throughout the body, thereby destroying normal body tissues.
Medical Marijuana is helpful in treating nausea and vomiting from cancer chemotherapy. Inhaled (smoked or vaporized) marijuana is helpful treatment of neuropathic pain (pain caused by damaged nerves). It also helped improve food intake in HIV patients in studies.
